Beliefs

Below, we have taken some time to list our beliefs as a community of Christ-followers:

The Bible
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are God-breathed and faithful as God’s word. They reveal His amazing plan for saving mankind and the Bible is to be the measuring stick for our beliefs and living out our life of faith.

God
We believe in one God who is Creator of all things and completely good and righteous. By reading and studying the Scripture, we can see that God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is both fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He came to bring God’s kingdom rule and show us who the Father really is. He died on the cross so that we could be forgiven, made new and have a relationship with our Father. Jesus also rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father reigning over all of heaven and earth.

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is a person and He has come to glorify Jesus, convict people of sin, and to give them new life. He indwells, teaches and empowers believers to serve God. We also hold that all Biblical gifts and ministries are still available to believers today.

Humanity
We believe all humanity has been created in God’s image but have fallen into sin, thus creating our deep need of salvation and being restored back to our Father.

Salvation
We believe that Christ’s death and resurrection provide the only grounds for our righteousness, salvation and reconciliation with God. All who believe upon Jesus Christ and turn from their life of sin are restored back to relationship with God as His children and have their sins completely forgiven.

Baptism and Lord’s Supper
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are to be important aspects of the life of all believers. Yet, while they are ways in which we can participate in God’s grace, they are, however, not to be regarded as the means for salvation.

Church
We believe the true Church consists of all people who have put their faith in Christ and follow Him as Master. Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the church and it is God’s purpose that the worldwide Church be unified by His Spirit. We also believe that it is good and right for local churches to be established and function healthily as part of the advance of God’s kingdom

Return of Christ
We believe in a personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead with the believer being granted eternal joy and of the unbeliever given judgment and eternal punishment.
